Zeroes of a Polynomial
- A polynomial whose values of the variable for which the polynomial may result in zero. These values are known as zeros of a polynomial.
- The zeros of a polynomial are the solutions to the equation p(x) = 0, where p(x) represents the polynomial.
- If we graph this polynomial as y = p(x), then you can see that these are the values of x where y = 0.
- In other words, they are the x-intercepts of the graph.
Now The graphs of y = p(x) are given in Fig. below, for some polynomials p(x). Find the number of zeroes of p(x), in each case.
