What is the area of the circle?

Strictly speaking a circle is a line, and so circle has no area. 

What is usually meant by area of circle is the area of the region i.e.area enclosed by a circle.

Q. Calculate the area of a circle having radius 7 m. 

Ans: The area here can be calculated using the formula, 

   Area of Circle = πr² 

                    A = π × 7² 

                       = ²²/₇ × (7 × 7) 
                       
                       = 154 m².
